Call for Abstracts




Dear colleagues,

We cordially invite you to participate at the 11th International Workshop on Atmospheric Science from Space using Fourier Transform Spectrometry (ASSFTS 11) which will be held in Bad Wildbad on October 8 - 10, 2003.

The location of the workshop is Badhotel, Bad Wildbad. Bad Wildbad is in the Northern part of the Black Forest, about 50 km south-east of Karlsruhe.

The themes for this year are

  1. Retrieval techniques,
  2. Calibration and validation,
    and, in addition,
  3. First results of MIPAS on ENVISAT.

As always, the workshop will be organized in

  1. Programmatic overviews of on-going and future instruments,
  2. Some invited talks on the themes, and
  3. Poster sessions on the themes as well as on all other relevant topics. The bulk of the contributions will go into the poster sessions.

Please send us your abstract on your presentation until August 29, 2003. Please send us your definite registration with your full affiliation by e-mail until 29 August, too. The e-mail address for abstract submission, registration and all other queries is org.assfts@imk.fzk.de Please send your abstract electronically as pure ASCII text, and inform us along with your abstract to which part/topic your contribution belongs. We will set up the program of the workshop and inform you about your presentation until September 12.

Important dates:

Workshop: 8 - 10 October, 2003
Deadline for abstract submission, registration and hotel booking: 29 August 2003
Final program: 12 September 2003

Please note that you should make your hotel reservation on your own responsibility until 29 August latest. Please mark your booking by the acronym ASSFTS. The Badhotel offers a full-board conference arrangement covering accomodation, meals and conference fees for 83.83 Euro per day. You will find more detailed information on accomodation and travel on the workshop web-site.

Please use capital letters for the title. Use one blank line, give the authors' names with their full first names. Use one blank line, then give the affiliations of the authors. Include at least the e-mail address of the corresponding (presenting) author. Use 2 blank lines after the abstract header. For the body, please avoid formula and figures. The abstract should not be longer than one A4 page. Please give your additional information in your accompanying e-mail. Please send ASCII text only, either in the body of your e-mail or as *.txt file attached.
